UNS S44735 Stainless Steel Pipe

  UNS S44735 is a ferritic stainless steel pipe designed for general service applications, offering excellent corrosion resistance and high strength.This material complies with ASTM A268/A268M-2020 and is available in seamless and welded forms.

  UNS S44735 has an extremely high resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, as well as general corrosion in oxidizing and moderately reducing environments. It is used in the power generation industry for welded condenser tubes used in seawater and brackish water. It is this extreme resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion that has led to the installation of over 2,000 miles of UNS S44735 tubes in power plant condensers and heat exchangers.

UNS S44735 alloy shows excellent resistance to chloride ion pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.This resistance makes it ideal for combating the corrosive condensate of partially and fully condensed natural gas and propane fired equipment. Its low alloy content makes it an economical choice compared to other high performance alloys.
